Tonight was Cam-cam's school play. She was a penguin. Looked adorable, too, BTW. But I only caught the end of the play, and missed her speaking her two lines.
Apparently, an accident happened on a bridge on the way home from my work. At least I could see a lot of flashing lights in the distance on and near the bridge. A lot of us where trapped before the bridge, including my wife. I tried to warn her to take an alternative route, but the truth of the matter was, there was no good alternative route. So we just had to wait it out.
I had to have Cam-cam's older sister, Manga-girl, take her and their youngest sister Nana to the school, as grandma leaves early on Thursdays and wasn't at our house. It all worked out, at least.
While I was stuck on the road, an ambulance came and went. Hopefully the person or people injured will be alright. By the time traffic got moving again, there was no sign of what caused the problem.
I stopped by the house before going to the school, once I made it into town, and grabbed the video camera. Maybe if I hadn't, I'd have not missed Cam-cam speak her lines during the play.
Still, from what I saw of it, it was a cute performance by the children. The penguins did manage to save Christmas by helping Santa get his memory back. I was worried there for a moment.
